Stephen grew up on his grandmother's homemade cooking and developed a passion for cooking at a young age. Early in his career, he joined the Navy and seized an opportunity to start his naval career as a cook. After his service in the Navy, he went to culinary school and worked a wide variety of jobs as a Chef from fine dinning to catering for large groups of people. With over 18 years in the cooperate food industry, he felt a little burnt out and sick of working for others. This is when he ventured into the food truck market and founded Sophie's Perogies. Listen in on our Budgets & Brews episode while Stephen takes us through his journey and what he learned along the way. Spoiler Alert, the Sophie's Perogies is no longer running in Ohio and Stephen now works as a traveling Private Chef.
